2019.05.30 - Sponsored Walk Thumb.jpgResidents from two Safe Harbor care homes in Stoke-on-Trent have taken part in a sponsored walk in aid of dementia.

The Place Up Hanley, Bucknall, and Haversham House, Trentham, joined together at Central Forest Park in Hanley to take a walk around the lake, the most prominent feature in the centre of the park.

Although the weather wasn't great, the walkers still managed to stop off to see the ducklings, meet a few dogs and pose for photos. They even made it round in time for lunch at a local pub afterwards.

All money raised is to be split between Alzheimer's Society and the resident's comfort funds. Alzheimer's Society is the largest and most influential dementia charity in the UK. They fund research in to finding a cure for dementia and help to support people currently living with the disease.

Well done to everyone who took part and a big thank you to everyone who donated.
