2019.04.30 - Hanley Shopping Thumb.jpgResidents from two Safe Harbor care homes in Stoke-on-Trent have visited the local shopping centre for a day out.

Agnes and Arthur and The Place Up Hanley met up in Hanley to do their shopping at the intu Potteries centre.

They were able to buy clothes for summer in Primark before having a spot of afternoon tea in the market cafe.

While out and about the residents met a friendly working dog who loved to be fussed and also saw the bug exhibits on display in the intu shopping centre.

The event 'Big Bugs on Tour' is championed by Chris Packham and has seen a selection of larger-than-life model bugs tour the intu shopping centres across the UK. Residents were lucky enough to see them before they move on to their next destination.
