Marion Brocklehurst, activities coordinator at Cloverfields Care in Shropshire, has been awarded The Carer's Summer 2019 Unsung Hero.

Marion's unrelenting passion and enthusiasm has been bringing joy to Cloverfields Care nursing home for over 15 years. She is responsible for the wide array of life enriching activities and events that go on in the home on a daily basis.

Marion has also helped to raise thousands of pounds for the residents comfort fund over the years. Those funds have been used to improve the well-being of all the residents at Cloverfields.

Director of Safe Harbor, Philip Morris praised Marion and said, “We are not surprised that she has been selected since she is spoken of with awe by all with whom she comes into contact, residents, staff, visitors, and all others in the field of caring."

Published quarterly, The Carer is an informative publication for the nursing and residential care homes sector in England and Wales.

For achieving the award, Marion also won a wonderful two-night break for two at one of a selection of luxury hotels throughout the UK.
