Respite Care at The Place Up Hanley
We fully understand that caring for a loved one can be very stressful at times, and everybody deserves a break. This is where The Place up Hanley Care Home in Stoke-on-Trent becomes an option. See us as a short-term choice that gives you that break from the day to day stresses that can come from caring for your loved one.
Our short-stay accommodation is an ideal replacement for at-home care for a number of situations. Whether it is a one or two-week stay, our dedication to giving high-quality care will provide you with the respite you need.
Our quality, 24-hour carers are as dedicated to your loved ones as you are and understand that each resident is different. Our personalized care plans developed around each of our residents means that every need is catered for and everybody gets the attention and care they deserve. Our dedicated activities team will ensure that during the stay they will have plenty to do, and surrounded by other people who they can get to know and become friends with.
Our residents are with us for a variety of reasons. It is unfair to expect carers to continue their duties without a chance to recharge. The Place Up Hanley Care Home offers that opportunity, safe in the knowledge that the quality of care will not drop below what would usually be given.
We can provide care to those privately funding their stay themselves or if they are funded by the local authority, and with any length of care provided we offer a FREE health needs assessment as part of any stay with us. Our health needs assessment gives us the ability to reach out to various healthcare professionals such as Doctors, Nurses, Chiropodists, Opticians, Dietitians, and others who can assess the needs of those in our care and support them with any requirements that they might have.
Elderly Day Care, Stoke-on-Trent
Alongside our one and two-week respite care option, we are able to offer elderly daycare package. Frequently, caregivers may need a day away, whether this is for appointments, to support with general care, or otherwise. Our daycare option gives the same quality care that our residents would normally receive, but on a short-term basis.
Alternatively, the receiver of care might be looking for a break themselves. One of the downsides to being cared for at home is that the social element of life can sometimes become lost. Coming into a new setting, even infrequently, can give added stimulation that wouldn't have otherwise happened. This is an important part of our work.
Alongside additional social connection, we provide quality meals, entertainment, and activities, and a high-quality form of care. The Place up Hanley Care Home is dedicated to great service and great experiences.
