Activities at Agnes and Arthur Care Home in Bradeley, Stoke on Trent

Agnes and Arthur care home has a full schedule of activities and events organised by our activity coordinator who is trained to provide specialist support to all of our residents.

Our policy on 'Meaningful Activities' takes into account our resident's life history, interests and personality. We always try to encourage and help residents to pursue their hobbies and interests whatever their physical capabilities.

We offer a wide range of activities designed to encourage residents to keep mobile, stay active, and, most importantly, take an interest in life. Promoting exercise and activities provides many benefits for resident's health and wellbeing.

Regular Outings

Residents at Agnes and Arthur care home have the opportunity to go on regular trips out to local amenities and attractions with our activity coordinator and volunteers.

We also arrange day trips further afield throughout the year, such as trips to Blackpool and Llandudno. Agnes and Arthur care home often team up with their sister homes across Stoke-on-Trent to join them on these coach trips and days out.

Safe Harbor care homes also hold activity sessions and entertainment events at their other homes which Agnes and Arthur regularly join in with. This gives residents an opportunity to visit our other care homes to socialise and enjoy themselves.

Residents are fully supported on days out by trained staff and volunteers. Families and friends are also encouraged to join us on these trips.

Home Activities

Agnes and Arthur have a wide array of activities and events taking place in the home each month. Our activity coordinator spends time with every resident to ensure that their needs are being met.

The home also has links with the local community and often hosts visitors such as church groups and charity organisations.

We encourage visits from families/friends and provide catering for special occasions and anniversaries.

• Live music entertainment with visiting entertainers who attend on a regular basis

• 1 to 1 trips out to local restaurants or places of interest
• Gardening
• Pet therapy
• Gentle exercise classes
• Reading groups
• Food and drink themed evenings such as cheese and wine night
